Bella Italia has come to Kingston and I with a couple of friends had the opportunity for a free two course meal. It was an offer available to locals to celebrate their opening, we only had to pay for desserts and drinks.
As a foodie it was a real treat. Like any place with Italia in the name it serves Italian food, with pasta, pizza and grill dishes making part of its menu. The restaurant is laid out well, with subdued lighting. The decor is very funky with a mediterranean feel. They had cosy booths and very smooth dark wooden tables. I loved the background music which was a real mix of genres.
The staff were friendly and attentive offering great service. We were seated at the back of the restaurant which during the day time you would have a fabulous view of the boats going up and down the River Thames. There was an extensive drinks menu and we had a couple cocktails and wine.
For starters we had baked mushrooms, Tempura Prawns and Whitebait. We all agreed our starters tasted absolutely delicious and the presentation was perfect. Decent portion size too. My mushrooms were so tasty!!
For mains we had Cannelloni Ricotta, Sea bass and pasta. All hot and delicious. I have never seen such a large pepper mill which was a real talking point!! The menus were colourful and easy to read with lots to choose from.
The food was perfect and I was so full, but a couple of my friends could not resist the desserts. The Big Tony which was full of chocolate delights and a Cookie Dough Lava cake. They enjoyed them and said they would have them again. We had such a fun, relaxed evening with yummy food!
Overall the restaurant has a good atmosphere with great customer service and delicious food. Reasonable priced and good value for money. I will definitely be back as I have already signed up for their email offers!
I have to comment about the ladies rest room below. I loved all the quirky mirrors!!! Just wow.
